On behalf of the China Mass Spectrometry Society (CMSS), we are honored to extend this invi-tation to you for the IMSC28 meeting, which will be held in Hangzhou, China, in October 2028.

     With this esteemed opportunity, we are steadfast in our commitment to fostering international collaborations and promoting the prosperity of mass spectrometry science under the guiding prin-ciples of the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF) and national mass spectrometry societies. Over the past decades, China has witnessed a rapid expansion in the fields of science and technology. Consequently, the Chinese mass spectrometry community has also grown sub-stantially, increasingly contributing to the global mass spectrometry community. Despite the numerous challenges faced globally, the field of mass spectrometry in China foresees continued growth, fueled by the high demand for high-quality analytical testing from both academic research and industrial sectors. Therefore, we sincerely hope that this meeting will serve as an exemplary platform for mass spectrometry scientists from diverse backgrounds across the globe to converge and share their latest accomplishments and advancements.

      We anticipate that more than 2000 attendees will relish the experience of participating in this meeting in the picturesque city of Hangzhou. Historically, Hangzhou has been a cultural hub in China since ancient times and is home to three World Heritage Sites. Additionally, Hangzhou embraces modern culture with vast shopping districts, museums, and a diverse array of exhibi-tions. With a proven track record of successfully hosting large-scale conferences, supported by its robust telecommunication and public transportation infrastructure (such as the G20 Summit and the Asian Games), Hangzhou is poised to provide a highly accessible, secure, and welcoming envi-ronment for all attendees to enjoy.
